This Privacy Policy describes why and how we collect, use, share, and protect Personal Information when you use Creative Refresh, a mobile-first creative self-care experience designed for family caregivers (the “Service”).

The Personal Information we collect depends on how you interact with the Service. It may include:

- Personalize your experience — by tailoring activity recommendations and message content to your caregiving context, preferences, and wellness indicators
- Generate AI-assisted content — we use your profile and message history to generate warm, personalized SMS responses using artificial intelligence
- Support account recovery — your email address may be used to assist you if you accidentally opt out of SMS or need account support
- Request feedback — to understand how the Service is working for you and improve it
- Conduct research — this Service is part of a pilot research initiative. Aggregated and de-identified findings may be shared with our research sponsor, AARP, to inform future program development
- Ensure security — to protect the Service and prevent fraud
- Comply with legal obligations — where required by applicable law
- Protect vital interests — where necessary to prevent harm
3. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
We do not sell your Personal Information. We share it only as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
Service Providers
We may share your Personal Information with third-party vendors, service providers, and contractors who perform services on our behalf. We have contracts in place with our service providers designed to safeguard your Personal Information. They cannot use your Personal Information for any purpose other than providing services to us.

Research Sponsor
This Service is part of a pilot research initiative sponsored by AARP. Aggregated and de-identified pilot findings may be shared with AARP for research and program development purposes. Individual Personal Information is not shared with AARP without your explicit consent.
This Service is operated by Peer Insight, LLC and is not an AARP product or service.
4. SMS Text Messaging
By providing your phone number and consenting at signup, you agree to receive text messages from Creative Refresh including:
- Account verification links (magic links)
- Personalized wellness nudges and activity recommendations
- Responses to messages you send to the Service
- Occasional program updates
Message frequency varies based on your preferences and interactions with the Service.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any text message from the Service. After opting out you will receive one final confirmation message and will no longer receive texts.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain the security of the Service, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions.
We also use third-party analytics tools (Google Analytics and Posthog) that may collect information about how you interact with the Service to help us understand usage and improve the experience.
We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or retargeting. We do not use ad networks, social media pixels, or marketing cookies.
Google Analytics: We share information with Google Analytics to track and analyze use of the Service. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking visit tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Global Privacy Control: Our website recognizes Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser indicating your preference to opt out of data sharing.
6. Artificial Intelligence
Creative Refresh uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized SMS messages, activity recommendations, and to help match activities to your interests and caregiving context.
Our AI products are designed for:
- AI automation — automating the delivery of personalized nudges based on your profile
- AI bots — conversational SMS response to your free-text replies
- Natural language processing — reading and interpreting the messages you send to the Service
- Text analysis — assessing your message content to generate appropriate personalized responses
- Activity recommendation — using your profile, preferences, and engagement patterns to suggest activities from our library that are most likely to feel relevant and doable for you
We provide AI features through Anthropic (Claude API). Your message content and profile information are shared with Anthropic solely for the purpose of generating responses and recommendations.
Quality review: Our team reviews AI-generated messages as part of our quality process to help ensure they feel warm, appropriate, and supportive before they are delivered to you.

7. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your Personal Information. These measures include:
- Encrypted data storage and transmission via Supabase
- Secure authentication via magic link — no passwords stored
- Access controls limiting which team members can view user data
- Human review of all AI-generated messages before delivery
- Third-party risk management to ensure data shared with service providers is adequately protected
8. Data Retention
We will retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law.
When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, we will delete or anonymize it.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or by replying STOP to opt out of the Service.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or market to children under 16. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a person under 16 without parental consent we will deactivate the account and delete that information promptly.
10. Your Rights as a Consumer
We are committed to maintaining your trust by honoring your rights regarding your Personal Information. We will make reasonable attempts to comply with all requests and will respond within 30 days.
You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
You have the following rights: Right to Know or Access, Right to Correct, Right to Delete, Right to Opt Out of SMS (reply STOP), Right to Opt Out of Sharing, Right to Limit Processing, Right to Opt Out of AI Personalization, and the Right to Withdraw Consent.

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy law including the right to know, access, correct, request deletion, obtain a copy, and opt out of processing for targeted advertising or sale.
California “Shine The Light” Law: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about Personal Information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes once per year free of charge.

Peer Insight and its service providers are based in the United States. By using the Service you consent to your Personal Information being transferred, processed, and stored within the United States and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
